Gayatri Nilayam (previously, Mangal Nivas), Dadar. Architects: Marathe & Kulkarni. What began as “Marathe & Co.,” became “Marathe & Kulkarni” after Ganesh Laxman Kulkarni joined Dattatray Narayan Marathe, an engineer, as a name partner. Many buildings in Dadar, Matunga and Sion were designed by this firm, for which they have not been adequately recognised.
